Dry skin is common during some seasons.

Even if you don’t have a dry skin type, you’ll find some parts of your skin drying out during winter or Harmattan.

The challenge becomes “What can I do to fix it?”, right?

There are some natural skin care remedies you could use to prevent your skin from drying out. Yes, 100% natural and we want to share them with you.

Find time to do them and all your skin worries are over. Definitely, just about drying out alone. You don’t expect it to be everything, do you? LOL

Well, let’s get started.

  1. Olive oil cleanser

Olive oil is a natural oil that can work as a cleanser and as a moisturizer. It’s comedogenic rating is low so you don’t have to worry about it clogging your pores.

You just need to rub the oil over your skin and drape a warm, damp towel over your face till it cools off. Wipe off the excess oil.

It’s a great choice because it cleanses your skin without stripping it of the natural oils.

  1. Avocado mask and facial serum

The avocado mask doesn’t require a lot of ingredients to prepare and it’s a great way to soothe your facial skin. You just need avocado puree from half an avocado,  1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey (very dry skin) for a serving.

Rub the mask on your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it off afterwards. This mask leaves your skin feeling moisturized and hydrated. To top up its effects, you can use the Moore facial serum. It has both dry and oily as well as normal skin type varieties, ain’t you lucky?

You use the facial serum as your facial lotion. The serum doesn’t only leave your face moisturized but it also gets rid of acne, blackheads, dark spots, dark circles among others.

  1. Shea butter beauty lotion

This is our beauty therapy for drying-out or dry skin types.

Shea butter is easy to use and is the most inexpensive way to keep your skin moisturized. Try to keep it away from your face to avoid clogging your pores if you are prone to break-outs.

You may not like shea butter because of the scent, right?

Don’t worry we’ve fixed that already.

We have our shea butter doused with strawberry fragrance. You will definitely prefer the yummy strawberry ice-cream scent goodness.

You can use the facial serum for your face. But using shea butter for your heels, elbows, lips or any other part of your skin that’s drying out is your sure bet. If you’re worried about tanning, you can read our previous post to know how you can use shea butter without getting darker.
